Juries advocate to speak in Des Moines
Larry Dodge, national
coordinator for the Fully Informed Jury Association, will be in Des Moines Jan. 17 to
speak to an annual membership meeting of the organization's state chapter.
Scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. at the Botanical
Center, the meeting will also include an afternoon panel discussion on the function of
juries with members of the Iowa State Bar Association.
Dodge's association advocates the prominence of
juries and maintains that the panels have the power to nullify government actions.
