NARCOTIC REMEDY CLAIMED

Egyptian Doctor Said to Have Effected Fifteen Cures.
Wireless to The New York Times.

CAIRO, Dec. 10.--- A discovery likely to confer an immense boon on Egypt, where it is calculated that more than 500,000 persons are addicted to narcotics, is claimed by Dr. Modinos of Alexandria, whose system of treatment is phlyctenotherapy, which is a method of inoculation with a liquid serum obtained by vesication or blistering from the sufferer himself.

Dr. Modinos is said to have effected fifteen cures, and the results have been so encouraging that the treatment will be tested in the State prisons, where a majority of the prisoners are addicts.
