To Stamp Out Drug Plant Which Crazes Its Addicts

MEXICO CITY, Dec. 28 (AP) -- Cultivation of marihuana, a drugproducing plant, has been outlawed in Mexico by the Government.

Health Department inspectors have been sent to all parts of the republic where marihuana is grown with instructions to destroy the crops, kill wild plants and arrest persons who persist in its production.

Marihuana leaves, smoked in cigarettes, produce murderous delirium. Its addicts often become insane. Scientists say its effects are perhaps more terrible than those of any intoxicant or drug.
